Parents’ Association
The Parents’ Association for Inchigeela N.S re-established in 2024 to work in collaboration with the school team towards enhancing pupils’ school experiences and creating meaningful links between the school and families. The Parents’ Association is friendly, informal and productive and is open to all parents and guardians.
The main aims of the Parents’ Association are:
-To represent the views of parents and guardians
- To foster relationships between parents/guardians, teachers and school management
-To arrange talks/events of interest for parents/guardians throughout the academic year
-To raise funds for the benefit of the students in the school
The Parents Association is committed to fundraising for the school which goes towards school events and equipment, and subsidising trips.
Recent fundraisers include hosting the Ahakeera Drama group in Inchigeela Hall in 2024 and 2025, which recently raised 1415 Euros for the school, a halloween disco, Santa visit, and recent purchase of games and books chosen by the children in each classroom.
The Parents Association helps to foster any new ideas or initiatives that parents feel will benefit the children and maintain the strong links to the village community.
We are commencing this Easter a newsletter from the Parents Association of upcoming events and fundraisers, as well as important dates from the school. We aim to a newsletter each term to keep you informed of the Parents’ Association’s activities.
